In the women’s field, Chhoki Sherpa also repeated her win and continues to command the race.

The ascent to Pike Peak (4,046 m), with stunning views of Everest and the surrounding Himalayan giants, defined the day. Spain’s Abel Carretero and Manuel Vela remain second and third overall, while Humi Budha and Ester S. Alves hold the same positions in the women’s standings.

Tomorrow’s Stage 3 promises to be decisive: 28 km and nearly 5,000 meters of elevation gain between Ringmo and Kharikhola.
